operational securities account
(OSA)
In either the Domestic Service or the Full Service, a facility enabling a Party to manage a number of Securities Accounts on a consolidated basis. In the Domestic Service, a Party will be able through an OSA to manage a number of Securities Accounts held with different CSDs but carrying the same identifier. The Operational Securities Account is not itself an account for legal purposes.
